Harvey Steinman, 77, Bismarck, died January 8, 2014, at St. Alexius Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 1:30 PM at Church of Corpus Christi in Bismarck with Rev. Paul Becker officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, where a Knights of Columbus Rosary service will begin at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Monday one hour prior to the service at the church.

Harvey was born on November 19, 1936, to Leo Steinman and Mary Walz in Edgeley, ND, where he was raised. He attended school in Carrington, ND, and graduated from Wapheton School of Science. He married Marlys Pfann on June 21, 1958, in Carrington, ND.

He was president of C & H Glass Company, Inc. in Bismarck, ND, for 34 years. Harvey was a member of Bismarck –Mandan Builders Exchange, Good Sam's Campers Club, Elks Chorus and Club member since 1967. He also was a member of Corpus Christi Sunrise Choir, Scout Master of Boy Scout Troop 89, and Corpus Christi Church. He was a long-standing member of Bis-Man Reel and Rec and involved in Take a Kid Fishing and Audit Trustee.

Harvey had a love for hunting, fishing, camping, nature, family and friends.

Harvey will be deeply missed by his wife of 57 years, Marlys; daughters, Jean (Dan) Eckroth, Farmington, MN, and Janice (Mark) Rupe, Katy, TX; sons, James Steinman (Jacki Peterson), Mandan, and John (Kim) Steinman, Lewisville, TX; sister, Irene (Gene) Herman, Maple Valley, WA; brothers, Ernest (Alice) Steinman, Oelwein, IA, and Vernon (Marie) Steinman, Carlsbad, CA; grandchildren, Dana Eckroth, Steven Rupe, Alexis Steinman, Ryan Steinman, Desiree Steinman, Rhiannon Stockert, and Cristian Sullivan; and great-grandchildren, Jamie, Sophie, Julie, Lucille, and Ethan.

Harvey was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Melvin.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Elks Chorus, Bismarck, ND, Boy Scout Troop 89, Corpus Christi, or Bis-Man Reel and Rec – Take a Kid Fishing, Bismarck, ND.
