Robert "Bob" J. Stolz, 79, died January 18, 2011, at St. Alexius Medical Center, Bismarck.
Services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, January 21, at Century Baptist Church, Bismarck, with Rev. Dr. Gordon Stork and Rev. Alan Steier officiating.
There will be no visitation, as cremation has taken place.
Robert James Stolz was born May 1, 1931, at Wilton, ND, the son of John and Mollie (Miller) Stolz. He grew up and attended schools in Lehr, ND. On June 18, 1950, he married Lucille Schill in Lehr, ND. Bob worked as a mechanic at Ruffs Service Station, Goebel Brothers Chevrolet and John Deere Dealership until opening Stolz Service Station in Lehr in 1960. In 1969, he moved to Steele where he worked for Wallin Motors. In 1972, he began working for Jamestown Implement in Steele until his retirement in 1993.
Bob enjoyed woodworking, repairing golf carts for the Steele golf course, and fishing on the river and at Cherry/Josephine Lakes.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille, Bismarck; his children, Keith (Marian), Mandan, Dean (Denise), Mandan, Tim (Correne), West Fargo, Steve (Deana), Dawson, and Susan (Steve) Knodel, Bismarck, John (Donna), Vancouver, WA; his eleven grandchildren, Gary, Eric, Michelle, Jeremy, Kristopher, Jonathan, Amy, Shelly, Kenan, Joshua, and Jason and seven great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Lorrie (Cleo) Schnabel, Mandan, Margaret (James) Miller, West Fargo, Vernon (Vivian) Stolz, Bismarck, and Allen (Jane) Stolz, Enderlin; sisters-in-law, Alice Stolz, Bismarck, Pauline Stolz, Lubbock, TX, and Ann Stolz, Beach, ND; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ted, Jack and Milton; sister, Illa (Oscar) Miller, and his granddaughter, Lisa Knodel.
