Cremation
In 2006, Sunset Memorial Gardens added a crematory to the grounds. The staff at Sunset Memorial Gardens works in conjunction with area Funeral Directors to assure the cremation process is performed in a proper and timely manner and that your loved one is treated with respect and dignity. Sunset Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum offers several choices for the permanent placement of cremated remains. Urn Gardens provide in ground burial with bronze memorials, the Mausoleum offers a selection of above ground granite niches adorned with memory medallions, and a scattering garden is provided for families wishing the same. As with all memorial preferences, prearrangement provides the assurance that personal wishes will be honored and loved ones spared the emotional burdens and doubts of inevitable memorial decisions.
Permanent Memorials
In order to maintain the serenity of a natural park setting, memorial parks place flush, ground level memorials rather than upright monuments. Although memorials can be made of different materials, such as marble and granite, bronze is the preferred material because of its unequaled endurance and artistic flexibility. At Sunset Memorial Gardens, we are able to offer an extensive selection of individual, companion, and family memorials. These memorials are available direct from bronze manufacturers and each memorial is custom cast to commemorate a loved one in a personal, dignified and permanent manner. The choice of many memorial designs, personalized emblems, endearments, phrases, and verses allow each memorial to be customized according to individual wishes. Bronze vases built into the memorials also allow secure and convenient placement of floral tributes. Because of the many personal choices, selecting a memorial at the time of death is very difficult for survivors. This emotional burden can be prevented through prearrangement programs that allow bronze memorials to be selected and placed in storage until needed. Please contact the cemetery to make an appointment to review all options available.
