Dolores (Dee) A. Weber

November 8, 1926 — July 31, 2015

Dolores (Dee) A. Weber, 88, Bismarck, is probably playing the piano or dancing with angels in Heaven now after her almost 20-year struggle with Parkinson's disease. She passed away peacefully at home on July 31, 2015. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, August 10, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, with Rev. Gretchen Deeg officiating. Burial will be held at 3:00 pm Monday at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.Dolores was born on November 8, 1926, to George and Minnie (Nelson) Glaser in Mandan. She attended St. Joseph's Catholic School. She graduated from Mandan High School in 1944 where she had enjoyed being a cheerleader. She was a lover of music, enjoyed playing piano for the high school choirs, and played organ later in life. Friends and family have special memories of sing-alongs with Dolores as the accompanist. Dolores met Clement Weber in grade school and their first date was during her sophomore year. She was soon known as his "Dee". Clem left school early to defend our country in WWII. After her graduation, Dee worked at a defense plant in Seattle. When Clem returned, they reconnected and were married on July 29, 1948, in Mandan. They moved to Seattle where she had a job at a jewelry store. It's probable she developed her lifelong love of jewelry, clothes, and shoes that sparkled while working there. She also worked at the Iverson Electric Company when they moved back to Mandan. She quit working to start their family and they were blessed with four children, three grandchildren, and two great-granddaughters, who affectionately nicknamed her "Dee Dee". Dee loved being a full-time homemaker but also belonged to bowling leagues, played Bridge and hosted parties. She enjoyed dressing up and dancing regularly on the weekends. Clem and Dee were polka champs five years in a row at Johnny Holmes concerts. Many memories were made on vacations to visit loved ones. Their several motorhomes were also used to attend Sunday Church fairs, picnics in the park, and spend time together with grandchildren in Medora, Minneapolis and California.Dee enjoyed class reunions and several of her classmates would meet regularly for lunch. Dee joined them until this past year. She loved to cook and bake and she has passed down many of her favorite recipes to her family. Her chocolate bread pudding and monster cookies are favorites!Dee is survived by her husband of 67 years, Clem Weber; her daughters, Sharon (Edward) Casanova, Brea, CA, Sylvia Weber (Gary Timms), Placentia, CA, and Maria Roll-Schlecht, Bismarck, ND; also surviving her are three grandchildren, Victor Casanova and Gina (Bobby) Harmston, Brea, CA, and Jordan Roll (and longtime girlfriend Shawna McNamara), Roseville, MN; and two great-granddaughters, KeiLi and Lily Harmston, Brea, CA.
