Leo R. Wehri, 62, Glen Ullin, ND, lost his short battle with cancer on August 5, 2015.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 10, at 11:00 AM CST at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Glen Ullin, with Father Jeffrey Zwack officiating. Burial will be at St. Clement Cemetery in Haymarsh.Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 PM CST on Sunday, August 9, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Glen Ullin where a vigil service will begin at 7:00 PM. Leo was born on March 27, 1953, in Dickinson, ND, to Joseph and Barbara (Berger) Wehri. Leo was raised on a farm in Haymarsh, ND. He attended grade school in Haymarsh, and graduated from Glen Ullin High School in 1971. Leo moved from Haymarsh to Glen Ullin, where he pursued his passion of farming, especially combining. He spent most of his career as a farm hand, most recently working for Jimmy and Jessica Schaaf. Leo was a welcomed member of the Schaaf family, especially to their daughters who called Leo Uncle.Outside of farming, Leo spent his time loving his dogs, Lexi and Patch, playing cards, hunting, bowling, putting together large puzzles, and golfing. He also enjoyed spending time with his family at different get-togethers and holidays. Leo is survived by his brothers, Paul, Linus (Kathy), Bernard (Eileen), Virgil (RaDeanna), Irvin (Karen), and Ray; his sisters, Janice (Leonard) Doll, and Lois (Robert) Geck; his sisters-in-law, Eileen and Carol; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Barbara; his brothers, Melvin and Harvey; his sister-in-law, Janet; and his nephew, Mike.
