Douglas Schacher

Douglas L. Schacher, 57, passed away January 22, 2016, unexpectedly. As per Doug’s wishes there will be only a viewing and/or visitation. On Wednesday January 27, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, there will be a private viewing and/or visitation for family members from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm and for friends and public from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Please feel free to come at the appropriate times. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Melody; his brother, Paul (Jennie), Cody, WY; and nieces and nephews. Doug was a loving, generous person loved by many young and old because of his tender compassion for people. Doug was most proud of being one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and cherished the privilege of sharing the hope from the Bible of the time when God’s Kingdom as mentioned in the model prayer will come and bring an end to death and pain and sorrow of all kinds (Revelation 21:4). Doug loved a website that helped him so much, which was jw.org. He was a man who loved God and people. He was Melody’s knight in shining armor and Paul’s fishing buddy and best friend. Doug will be greatly missed by many.
