Clarence E. Tietz, 83, Bismarck, died August 6, 2016, at Baptist Health Care Center in Bismarck. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 10, at 9:30 AM at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, with Deacon Kevin Tietz officiating. Burial will be on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the ND Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home where a prayer service will begin at 7:00 PM. Clarence was born on March 15, 1933, in New Leipzig, ND, the son of Edward and Hilda (Haase) Tietz. He grew up and attended school in New Leipzig. Clarence served in the US Army from 1954 – 1956. He worked at Ash Grove Cement as a plant manager for many years. He married Bernetta Wolf on October 6, 1953. After his first wife’s death, he married Helen Weiand on September 10, 1998. Clarence is survived by his wife, Helen; his daughters, Cindi (David) Roberson and Linda (Azad) Bekhtyar; his sons, Kevin (Denise) Tietz and Timothy Tietz; his stepdaughter, Kathy Bonner; his grandchildren, Scala (Cameron) Omar, Jamal Bekhtyar, Christopher (Jennifer) Tietz, and Jerad (Masha) Tietz; his step-grandchildren, Lindsay (Tyler) Hagerott, Brittany Roberson, Dawn (Donnie) Albrecht, Les (Patty) Ressler, Tanya Bonner, and Daryl Bonner; 15 great-grandchildren; and his brother, Milton Tietz. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Bernetta (Wolf) Tietz; his sister-in-law, Delores Tietz; and his step-son, Robert Weiand.
