Kathleen “Kathy” Koch, 74, Bismarck, ND, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her family. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Prairie Family Church, 500 Remington Avenue, Bismarck, with Pastor Greg Carr officiating. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Kathy was born on August 24, 1942, in Bismarck, ND, to Russell and Marie (Schlosser) Koch. She graduated from Mandan High School in 1961. She worked for BisMan Security and TSA until her retirement in 2010. Kathy is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Nathan) Sorum of Perham, MN; her son, Todd (Barb) Bailey of Bismarck; her brother, David “Butch” (Loretta) Koch of Mandan; her grandchildren, Jordan (Saraya) Bailey of Lincoln and Amber Sams of Mandan; two great-grandchildren, Siylar and Judah Bailey; many nieces and nephews; and her kitties, DaisyMae and Rosie. She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Marie Koch and her sister and brother-in-law, Kolleen and LeRoy Klein. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to the American Cancer Society.
