Aldora "Ellie" Jackman

Aldora “Ellie” Ann Jackman 83, Mandan, went to heaven Sunday August 27, 2023.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30AM, Friday, September 1 at Faith Lutheran Church, 1402 E. Ave C, Bismarck.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00PM, with a prayer service starting at 7:00PM, Thursday, August 31 at Eastgate Funeral Service, 2302 E. Divide Ave, Bismarck.

Burial to be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens following the funeral.

Ellie was born in Center, ND to William and Julia Ganten on July 17, 1940. She attended school in Center and Children's Village in Fargo.

She was married to Dallas Jackman October 2, 1959 and was happily married for 32 years until Dallas passed away in 1991. Together they raised five children. Later in life she met Les Linssen and they were married on March 19, 2017. Les passed away in 2020.

Ellie was popular and loved and cherished by all who touched her life. She enjoyed going out to eat with family and friends and had a love for westerns. She watched every episode of Gunsmoke. She was an avid pinochle player and enjoyed competing in tournaments.

Ellie was preceded in death by her husbands, Dallas Jackman and Lester Linssen; sisters, Clara Hill, Agnes Hoff, Vonnie Grenz; brothers, William Ganten and Ray Dilger.

She is survived by her children: Scott (Kim) Jackman, Mike (Sherri) Jackman, Cindy (Dave) Miller, Cheryl (Allen) Aberle and Becky (Rob) Carlson; ten grandkids and 14 great-grandkids.

We would like to say a special acknowledgement to our mothers lifelong friends Wanda House and Laurel Moser. She loved you dearly.

Our mother wanted us to bring awareness to the disease HHT, which she battled her whole life.
