Alexis "Lexi" Arlana Mertz

Alexis "Lexi" Arlana Mertz, 25, Bismarck, went to Heaven on April 15, 2025.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, April 24, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM, Wednesday, April 23, at Parkway Funeral Service.

Burial will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Bismarck.

Lexi was born in Bismarck, ND on 11/12/1999 to Kelly and Brett Mertz. She was their pride and joy the moment they first saw her. Lexi was our miracle for 25 years.

Lexi was the happiest little girl. She fought through so many challenges her entire life and somehow never once complained. She was so strong, so smart, so happy, so sweet and pure her entire life. Momma and Daddy are so proud of you, Baby Girl.

She had the most beautiful blue eyes and a smile that would melt your heart. Lexi made sure everyone around her was happy, always offering big hugs.

Every day Lexi would show us something new and amazing.

Whether she was shopping with her mom or waving at cars in the driveway with her dad, she was always busy!

Lexi attended Miller Elementary, Simle Junior High and graduated from Legacy High School in 2018.

Lexi will be deeply missed by everyone that knew her including her parents Brett Mertz and Kelly Herring (DeeJay Herring). Grandparents Marvin and Bonnie Mertz, Ron and Linda Patton. Aunts and Uncles Sherry and Darrell Kinnischtzke, Dawn and Brent Thorsness, Jim and Cindy Patton, Tom and Jen Patton. Her Cousins Dusty, Barry and Cody Kinnischtzke, Brooke and Ashlyn Thorsness, Ben, Nick, Andrew and Elizabeth Patton, TJ, Jack and Taylor Patton. Step Siblings Parker, Mariah and Payten Herring. Furry Friends Gretel E Poopoo, Brutey Brute, Lettabug and Gus.

Lexi is preceeded in death by her Grandma Arlana Patton.

We gave her endless amounts of hugs and kisses, that’s all she ever asked for.

We will see you again Baby Girl.
