Amanda Lee Barnett, 36, of Mandan, North Dakota, Born on May 21st, 1988, to Michael Barnett Sr. and Tana Page. Amanda was a beloved partner, sister, aunt, and friend.
She is survived by her significant other of almost 18 years, Ryan, mother Tana (Lyle), sisters Jess and Victoria, brother Michael (Nikki), nephews Bentley and Aiden. Linda Moser-Eicholtz, and grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Amanda attended school in Underwood, North Dakota, where she met many friends and made many cherished memories. Amanda was a dedicated and accomplished Manager at Spencer's, where her hard work and leadership led her team to generate over a million dollars in sales. Her commitment was recognized when she was invited to Atlantic City to represent the company—an honor she truly deserved. Even while undergoing chemotherapy, Amanda's passion for her work never wavered.
Amanda's heart was deeply rooted in her family—her beloved partner Ryan and their cherished cats, Harry and Lloyd, affectionately known as the "terror twins." Ryan, who lives with Spina Bifida and a rare nerve condition called CRPS, was Amanda's constant focus and source of strength. She stood by him with unwavering support, never once complaining. Harry and Lloyd were more than pets; they were her children, her pride and joy. Amanda delighted in sharing stories and photos of them with anyone who would listen.
In October 2020, Amanda was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer. She began chemotherapy in December and continued to fight valiantly even after learning in 2021 that the cancer had spread to her liver. Despite undergoing multiple surgeries, radiation, and continued treatments, Amanda faced every challenge with courage and grace. In February 2025, the cancer reached her lung, yet her spirit remained resilient.
Amanda found peace on April 26, 2025. She will be remembered for her strength, her boundless love for her family—both human and feline—and her fierce determination. Her legacy of love, loyalty, and perseverance lives on in all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Underwood City Hall on June 7th, 2025 between 1pm-4pm. The family would ask that you come as you are. As Amanda would know you, because she was welcoming to everyone.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Kitty City or Furry Friends Rescue would be preferred
