Angeline "Angie" Houghton

July 14, 1938 — February 4, 2021

Angeline “Angie” Houghton, passed away peacefully surrounded by her beloved hospice team and family, on February 4, 2021 at Edgewood Village, Bismarck.

She was born July 14, 1938, in Strasburg, ND to John and Angeline Vetter.  She was a 1957 graduate of Strasburg High School. She married Ken Lipp in Strasburg and they began their life together in Norfolk, Virginia. Together Angie and Ken had four children, Kelly (Randy) Piwoni, of Kenosha, WI, Ron Lipp, of Bismarck, Scott (Marina) Lipp, of Round Lake, IL and Kendra Lipp, of Bismarck. 

Angie was an adoring mother who enjoyed working in the food industry for many years and actively worked with the homeless population.  Angie truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures, including cooking and baking, chatting with friends and family, playing WesternPinochle, various card games and her favorite, word search books and puzzles.  Angie also is known for her love dancing.  Angie is a very proud grandmother of nine grandchildren and one great grandson.

She is survived by her four children; nine grandchildren; one great grandson; sister, Adeline (Jack) Koschial; brother, Tom (Sherley) Vetter and her dear friends, Gail, Gerald and Margaret.  She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ken; sister, Isabelle James; brother, Tony Vetter and grandsons, Justin and Chris. 

Angie would like to leave a special note: Goodbye to all of those I left behind and hello to all of those who preceded me.

Per Angie’s wishes, there will be no funeral service.
