Austin was born, the first grandchild of the family on a beautiful spring day. It was quite a special day, and hard to forget, as Bismarck had a major blizzard the very next day. With 18 inches of snow, 65 mile an hour winds, and power outages, it made his start in life one for the books.

He was a funny, rambunctious, picky eater with the blondest hair. He was lovingly referred to as "Toots" by his paternal grandparents when he was small, and also his by Mother, who affectionately called him "Toots" even as he grew to an adult.

Austin grew up enjoying the outdoors and making adventures. He learned to hunt with his Dad and Grandpa, with whom he also spent lots of time bonding with while working together at the family business. Austin loved to cruise around in his 97' Chevy extended cab truck, ripping through the mud down at the desert or tearing through snow drifts. He enjoyed gaming, quiet time by the water with a fishing rod, and was a huge, longtime fan of the Texas Longhorns. He had a strong love for history and could sit and have long deep conversations with his elders. Austin was a kind heart who was quick to lend a hand, particularly to any of his Grandparents or Great-Grandparents.

During his school years Austin acquired his forever nickname, "Tugboat." He was a proud BHS Demon graduate that was asked to speak at his graduation ceremony. Austin delivered such an amazing speech he had the entire event center standing on their feet cheering. Austin was a spectacular guy that touched so many. He will be forever missed.

Austin is survived by his loving parents, Chris and Sarah Wentz; his great-grandmother, Ruth Boyer; grandparents, Marlene (Bob) Fleck, Glenn Wentz, Yvonne Tagney and Dale Schneider. He also leaves aunts and uncles, Jessica (Darrell) Vanderhoef, Cari (DJ) Lippert, Chad Schneider and Cory (Casey) Wentz as well as many loving cousins, second cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Reuben and Lorraine Seidler, Thelma Newsom and Ralph Boyer; and his great-uncle, Duane Seidler.
