Barbara Schulz

Barbara Schulz passed away on May 20, 2024 at age 82. 

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, May 24, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. 

Barbara was the first of five born on January 31, 1942 to William & Ruby (Heihn) Weigum in Beulah, North Dakota. During her elementary school days, Barbara’s family moved to Mandan and she graduated from Mandan High School.  

Barbara met Floyd Schulz in 1963. They were married on January 2, 1965 at Zion Lutheran Church in Bismarck. Together, they made their home in Bismarck. Barbara worked at local grocery stores doing food demonstration for 12 years. 

Barbara and Floyd enjoyed attending Christian conferences held in Minneapolis. She also enjoyed crafting, sewing and home decorating. Barbara and Floyd spent holidays with their dear friends, the Coleman family, whom they considered their children as their adopted grandchildren. 

Barbara is survived by her sister, Marguerite Ulmer; two sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; and her nieces and nephews. 

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Floyd Schulz; brothers, Larry Weigum and Ronald Weigum; sister, Marilyn Wohlk; parents, in-laws and two nephews.
