Bernice Muriel (Brabazon) Engelhorn of Mesa, AZ has left this earth on March 25, 2021.  A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 29, at 1:00 pm at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway Bismarck with visitation starting at 11:30 am.

She was born in Hettinger Hospital, Hettinger ND on April 2, 1943 and raised in Haynes, ND near the South Dakota border the daughter of Francis Lyle and Emily (Griffin) Brabazon.

Bernice attended Haynes High School and received a degree from Bismarck State College. Upon graduation from college, most of her career consisted in the accounting world, a majority of it with the City of Bismarck & Easter Seals Goodwill.

Bernice split her time between Mandan and Mesa, AZ where she retired. She loved the sun of Arizona, but the draw of family brought her back to ND in the summer.

Throughout her life she loved spending time on crafts, projects, sewing and cross-stitching items for her friends and family. While in AZ, she enjoyed playing Bunco with new friends, but Dominos ended up being her favorite.

Bernice lived her life for her kids, their happiness was most important to her. She was so proud of each and every one of them. She didn’t want to leave us, but was grateful that she had the time with them at the end.

You are loved and will be greatly missed by all of us, your kids, your family, and friends (too many to list) in AZ, ND and MN.

Bernice is survived by her children; RaDeanna (Virgil) Wehri of Mandan, ND; Michelle Nelson (Dale Depee) of Somers, MT; Bradley (Kerstin) Engelhorn of Manhattan, KS; Heather (Bob) Fried of Mandan, ND; 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Her brother Dennis (Doreen) Brabazon of Lemmon, SD & sister-in-law Gloria Engelhorn of Morristown, SD and 11 nieces & nephews.

Bernice is preceded in death by, her parents, six siblings, brother-in-law, two nephews and a niece.
