Bev was born March 31,1934 in Washburn, ND. After graduating high school in Bismarck, she married Dennis Meyer and they had two daughters, Janel and Kora. Prior to having children, she held positions at Provident Life Insurance, Lutheran Social Services, and the North Dakota Department of Health. In her later years, she dedicated the tax season months as a temporary staff person at the North Dakota Tax Department.

Family was so important to Bev. She loved her girls but cherished her grandchildren and great- grandchildren even more. She would often babysit her grandchildren when they were ill and couldn’t be in daycare. Her green Tupperware container was always filled with either her delicious homemade oatmeal chocolate chip cookies or Oreos.

In addition to her cookies, she made incredible homemade bread, buns, and caramel rolls, always sharing them with family and saying, “I don’t think they turned out very well,” and they were always delicious. She was also a talented seamstress, sewing and repairing clothing for her family.

There were many special family memories at her Lake Tschida cabin. She enjoyed time there with her children, grandchildren, and her siblings. Holidays were a special time for Bev. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren open their gifts and making wonderful memories.

She leaves a legacy with daughters, Janel (Michael) Schmitz and Kora (Kenneth) Dockter; her grandchildren, Jason Schmitz (Duluth, MN), Shanna (Brandon) Brady, Kayla (Ryan) Albin, David (Kate) Schmitz (White Bear Lake, MN); great-grandchildren, Caleb Brady, Jaci Reisenauer, Cali Reisenauer, Cambree Brady, Caityn Brady, Madi Reisenauer, Bentley Albin, Bridger Albin, Braylyn Albin and Hazel Schmitz.

She was preceded in death by her very special grandson, Steven Dockter and siblings Betty Brunelle Taghon, Arlene Bradford Stoner and Virgil Ryberg.

The family wants to send a sincere thank you to CaringEdge Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to ND Suicide Prevention Coalition or Trinity Lutheran Church, her home church of 56 years.
