Beverly was born on November 20, 1951, to George and Agnes (Lipp) Leingang. Her formative years were spent in the countryside south of Solen, before her family moved to Mandan, where she began her education. Beverly’s family moved back to Solen, but Beverly decided to stay and graduated from Mandan High School.

On a blind date, Beverly met the love of her life, David Salter. They married on August 3, 1973, and cherished a partnership that spanned 52 years. Together, they welcomed two children, Cory and Lynette, and created a loving home in Bismarck. Beverly dedicated over 30 years of her professional life to Norwest Bank, which later became Wells Fargo, until she retired. After retirement, she did accountingfor Farm & Home. She enjoyed her many conversations with her boss, Todd.

Beverly had a passion for collecting bells, with her extensive collection featuring bells from nearly every state and numerous countries. Many of these treasures were acquired during family trips or generously gifted by friends and relatives who recognized her passion. Beverly also enjoyed watching game shows, daily walks and conversations with her daughter, and shopping for the latest trends, always with a flair for dressing elegantly. Beverly was a woman of quiet strength, gentle grace, and steadfast faith. She attended church every Sunday. She was honored to be her granddaughter’s confirmation sponsor.

Above all, Beverly’s greatest joy was her family. Her love for her family knew no limits. She relished being a wife and mother and found immeasurable happiness in her role as a grandmother. She took delight in playing cards, attending her grandchildren’s activities, and creating cherished memories at "Grandma’s Park," the school playground near her home. She would text “good morning” every day to her grandkids. Family gatherings, picnics, and branding days were occasions she treasured deeply. She liked when people stopped by for coffee, always offering snacks. Many hours were spent in conversation with siblings and friends.

Beverly is survived by her husband, David Salter; son, Cory Salter, Bismarck; daughter, Lynette (Scott) Simons, Baldwin; her fourbeloved grandchildren, Danielle Salter, Alyssa Buckman, Jacelyn Simons, and Garrett Simons. She is also survived by her brother, Dale (Nancy) Leingang, Solen; sisters, Linda Gullickson, Mandan and Bernice (Donald) Schmidt, Bismarck; mother-in-law Aileen Salter, Bismarck; brother-in-laws, John Salter, Fargo; Pat Salter and Mark Salter; Bismarck as well as several nieces and nephews.
