Beverly Sorby

Beverly T. Sorby died on June 24, 2023.

Cremation has taken place and burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, June 29, at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery.

Beverly was born on January 13, 1930, to James Miles and Mabel O. Tate. She graduated from Moorhead High School in 1947, then attended the University of North Dakota and Moorhead State University. She graduated college there.

On June 25, 1950, she married Duane Sorby in Hillsboro, ND. During their marriage, she taught fourth grade in several schools, following her husband’s career in the grain business.

She is survived by a brother and his wife; two nieces and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, who passed away in January 2019; and her parents.
