Blanche Mann

Blanche Marie Mann, 70, Bismarck, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2022, at Sanford Health with family by her side.  She was greeted in Heaven by her mother, father and oldest brother, Byron.

Services will be held 11 a.m. (CDT) Tuesday, Jan. 11 at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck, with Rev. Mark Narum officiating. 

Visitation will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Monday with a prayer service beginning 6:30 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Service, Bismarck. 

Burial will be conducted in the spring with her final resting place being next to her mother and father in Golgatha Lutheran Cemetary, Golden Valley.

She was born Nov. 2, 1951, in Hazen to Leo and Loretta Mann.  After graduating from Zap High School in 1969, she moved to Bismarck and started her 44 year career at Bismarck Hospital/Medcenter One/Sanford Health.  After her retirement, she worked part-time for Visiting Angels until her health started declining two years ago.

Being an avid sports fan, especially for the Green Bay Packers, she never missed a game on TV.  She followed all sports at all levels from high school to college to professional.  She also loved going to rummage sales and sharing her treasures with family and friends.  As an excellent cook, she loved cooking German foods and sharing these meals with family and friends.  Her baked cookies were treats for anybody and everybody, even if she just met them! 

Blanche is survived by her siblings, Barb (Terry) Blinsky, Bismarck, Bernie (Fred) Vollmuth, Mandan, Bonnie (Toby) Placek, Washburn, Brad (Theresa) Mann, Grand Rapids, Minn., and sister-in-law, Jalane Mann, Mandan.  Also surviving are her twelve precious nieces and nephews, Jared Mann, Marissa (Henry) Lau, Jaydin (Eddie) Underwood, Jordon (Jessie) Mann, Preston (Kaitlin Weigel) Blinsky, Tanner Blinsky, Ryan Runge, Allison (Vince) Goettle, Kjell (Jen) Placek, Ian (Samantha Birrenkott) Placek, Meagan (Chris) Vortherms and Paige Mann. She was blessed to have ten great-nieces and nephews: Brixton Underwood, Brynlee and Everett Mann, Makenna, Madisyn and Mason Goettle, Marek and Zennon Placek, Alec and Zoe Vortherms.

Blanche was preceded in death by her parents, Leo (March 17, 2008) and Loretta (August 17, 1998) Mann and her older brother, Byron (October 6, 2017) Mann.
