Bonnie (Becker) Lanz, 74, Bismarck, passed away June 7, 2025, at Miller Pointe, Mandan.

Burial will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, July 3, at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, 1825 46th St, Mandan. 

Bonnie Lea Becker was born on January 2, 1951, to Louis P. and Lois Irene (Broxmeyer) Becker in Bismarck, ND. She was raised and educated in Bismarck, and graduated from St. Mary’s Central High School in 1969. She attended North Dakota State University and later graduated from the University of Mary. Bonnie worked at the UND School of Medicine - Center for Family Medicine. She retired in 2018.

Bonnie married Terrence “Terry” S. Lanz in Bismarck on March 21, 1980. Bonnie and Terry enjoyed 45 years of marriage. Bonnie was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church earlier while living in Mandan and later a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bismarck. Bonnie absolutely loved her three children and was a firm believer they should attend catholic school, all third generation graduates of St. Mary’s Central High School. She loved attending St. Mary’s football and basketball games. Go Saints! She loved to cook, bake and quilt. For many years she was a member of a quilting guild.

Bonnie is survived by her husband, Terry Lanz, Bismarck; her children, Tamara “Tammy” (Bob) Hensley, Lincoln, NE, Tessa Lanz, Bismarck, ND, and Ryan (Becky) Lanz, Aldie, VA; two grandchildren, Emma and Colin Lanz; three brothers, Blaine (Sheryl), Mark (Patricia), Kevin (Terri); one sister, Jeanne (Wes) Weitgrefe; one sister-in-law, Karla; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Greg; her parents, Louis and Lois Becker; and her niece, Jessica Mosbrucker.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to St. Mary’s Central High School - Joseph P. and Marie Becker Family Scholarship.
