Brian Dralle, 69, of Moffit, ND, peacefully passed away on June 16, 2025. Visitation will be held on June 19th at 10 AM followed by a funeral service at 11AM. The burial will take place at the Moffit Cemetery following lunch.
Brian Dralle was born on July 7th 1955 in Bismarck. He was an only child born to William Russell “Red” Dralle and Anna (Gimbel) Dralle. He lived in Moffit with his parents until they moved out to the farm that he spent his life on. He attended Moffit elementary and middle school before attending and graduating from Hazelton High school in 1973. Brian attended the Schafer Heights Institute of Technology for a year studying Farm and Ranch management. In his younger years “Barney” enjoyed hanging out with his friends, going to concerts and driving his green Ford Torino Cobra.
Brian bought the farm from his parents in 1977 then proceeded to raise some small grains and cattle for the entirety of his life. Brian married Kathleen (Scherr) Dralle on May 25, 1990. They had two children together (Amanda and Ryan). Brian enjoyed every aspect of the ranching life, especially feeding cows during the winter with his trusty John deere 4240, baling hay in the summers, and giving his dog Kobe a ride along in the pickup or 4 wheeler. Brian also enjoyed watching his son continue working on the farm. Spending time with his grandkids is something Brian really enjoyed- whether it was sharing peanuts and watching cartoons with Beckett, letting Kinley and Kooper raid his spare change vase, or chuckling how much Lincoln could eat and teasing him for always wanting a taste of Papa Brian’s food. He loved visiting with his friends and neighbors either under his “beer tree” in his yard or at The Bucket in Moffit while drinking his Busch beer.
Brian is survived by his wife Kathleen, his two children Amanda (Beau) Maxon, of Mandan and Ryan (Breanna) Dralle, of Bismarck along with his five grandchildren: Kinley Maxon, Kooper Maxon, Beckett Dralle, Lincoln Dralle, and baby Maxon due in October 2025.
He was preceded in death by his two parents, Red in June 1992 and Anna in February 1999.
