Burdette Morrison Jr.

Burdette Morrison Jr., 82, Robinson, passed away on May 17, 2025, in Bismarck, ND.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, May 21, at Tuttle Community Church, 401 N Main St., Tuttle.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burdette (Junior) was born on December 12, 1942, in Steele, ND to Burdette Sr. and Ethel (Whipple) Morrison. He grew up and lived his entire life in Robinson, ND. He married Rosemary Ruby Jenner on June 20, 1975, in Tuttle, ND. Together, they made their home in Robinson where they raised their two children and were active members of the community.

Junior worked as a farmer and was known for his work ethic, sense of humor, and being a home body. He was a dedicated member of the Robinson Lions Club and was always willing to lend a helping hand to neighbors and friends.

He enjoyed playing cards, hunting, ice fishing, gardening, collecting caps and checking on his cows. Junior loved hearing about what his grandkids where doing.

Junior is survived by his son, Justin (Melody) Morrison, Bismarck; his daughter, Jennifer (Kris) Mathern, Thornton, Colorado; four grandchildren, Taylor (Averie) Morrison, Logan Morrison, RaeAnn Morrison, and Sophe Mathern; his brothers/sisters Darrell (Carol) Morrison, Sandra Sailer, Carol Gulden, Renea (Steve) English, Kenneth (Donna) Morrison, and Daniel Morrison; his sister –in-law Aileen Erdmann; and many nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rosemary Morrison; his parents, Burdette Sr. and Ethel Morrison; his granddaughter, Kaylee Morrison; his brothers-in-law, Michael Erdmann and Dennis Sailer; his sister-in-law Karen Morrison; and his in-laws, Harold and Rose Jenner.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Robinson Lions Club or Kidder County Ambulance.
