Carl Werner Kinnoin, 83, raised in Stanley, North Dakota, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 9, 2026. He was born on November 25, 1942, to Carl and Nora Kinnoin.

Carl dedicated his professional life to serving others. He worked as a teacher and principal before becoming a loan officer and later retired. No matter the role, Carl was known for his genuine care for people, his generosity, and his commitment to helping those around him.

His love for his community extended well beyond his career. Carl was an active member of the Lions Club and served on the Fair Board, Baseball Boosters, Church Council, and Economic Development Committee. He believed in giving back and was always willing to lend his time, experience, and support to causes that strengthened the community.

Carl's greatest pride, however, was his family. He was a devoted husband to his wife of 61 years, Margie, and a loving father to Carla (Brad) Landenberger, Dean (Kim) Kinnoin, and David Kinnoin. As a father, Carl was giving, caring, and generous. He consistently put his family first and made decisions with their well-being at the heart of everything he did.

He was a proud grandfather to Abby Landenberger, Lindsey (Jack) Braun, Emma Kinnoin, Jackson Kinnoin, and Sophie Kinnoin. Being a grandpa was one of Carl's greatest joys. He loved watching his grandchildren participate in all their activities, cheering them on and taking genuine pride in their accomplishments.

Carl also enjoyed hunting and fishing, but some of his happiest moments were simply spent with the people he loved. His presence, encouragement, and unwavering support made a lasting difference in the lives of his family and friends.

Carl will be remembered for his kind heart, generous spirit, strong sense of community, and, above all, the way he put family first. His legacy lives on in the family he loved so deeply the communities he served so faithfully, and the many lives he touched along the way.

He will be deeply missed and forever loved by his wife, Margie; his children, grandchildren, extended family, and countless friends and members of his communities.

A memorial service will begin at 1 p.m., on Saturday, October 24, at Eastgate Funeral Service, 3117 E Century Ave, with a visitation being held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery.
