Carol Stebner was born on December 11, 1943, in Wishek where she grew up and graduated from high school. After graduation, she attended Interstate Business College in Fargo.

On August 13, 1966, Carol married the love of her life, Bill Jundt. Carol and Bill were together for 58 years before Bill passed away on January 1, 2025. They had two children, Naomi and Sam, and several foster children, among whom were David Rodenkirck and David Schlittenhardt. She worked for several years as the secretary at First United Methodist Church in Bismarck before retiring in 2009.

Carol loved the Lord and took every opportunity to read His Word and share it with everyone she met. She also enjoyed playing cards, doing puzzles, singing and listening to music, as well as working on various other crafts. She also enjoyed visiting with friends, loving on people, and spending time with family.

Carol’s refusal to pray for snow, earned her the nick name “Mean Lady” by her future son-in-law, Ken. Due to her love and compassion for people as well as her calm demeaner, the name quickly caught on and Carol loved it.

Carol is survived by her daughter, Naomi (Ken) Belohlavek; son, Sam (Wendy) Jundt; grandchildren, Ali (Don) Scott, Steven (Eva) Jundt, and Tori Jundt; sisters, Jean (Clarence) Wald and Sandi (Jim) Grueneich, as well as several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends who loved her very much.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Jundt; father, Gustav Stebner; and her mother, Esther (Fercho) Stebner.

The Mean Lady will be missed by everyone she left behind. We look forward to the day when we can join her in the arms of our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus.

In lieu of flowers, Carol requested that you please send donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
