Carol A. Wilson

Carol Ann Wilson, 72, passed away on May 17, 2025, at Good Samaritan Society - Sunset Drive, Mandan, ND.

Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at a later date at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hurdsfield, ND.

Carol was born in Bismarck, ND on June 26, 1952, to Leon E. and Betty (Schlabach) Holweg.

As a child, Carol moved around North Dakota because her dad was a grain buyer at various cities within the state. She attended grade school in Driscoll and Steele, middle school in Bismarck, and graduated high school from Bismarck High School in 1972.

Carol and Curtis Wilson were united in marriage at Trinity Lutheran Church, Bismarck on July 15, 1972. To this union two children were born Kirk J. and Warren D. Wilson.

Carol worked in the Food Service Industry as a waitress/server and a bingo floorwalker until her retirement in 2021.

She loved her children and was grateful to have a relationship with those who had contact with her.

Carol is survived by her husband, Curtis; sister in-law, Barbara (Jim) Valer; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon E. and Betty Holweg; children, Kirk and Warren; sister and brother in-law, Bonnie (Larry) Herauf; father and mother in-law, C. Jack and Bernice (Lacy) Wilson; brother in-law, Gene Wilson; sister in-law, JoAnn Peterson; and four grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made out to Hurdsfield Cemetery and Pleasant Hill Cemetery Upkeep Fund, 292 30th Ave SE, Hurdsfield, ND 58451; Hurdsfield Community Center, 221 4th St W, Hurdsfield, ND 58451; or Sunset Memorial Gardens, 1313 E Century Ave, Bismarck, ND 58503 – (cemetery upkeep donation - Leon E. and Betty J.
