Cheryl Geier

Cheryl Lynn Geier, age 70, was taken from us too soon on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at St. Alexius Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held at 10am Sunday, December 10, at Eastgate Funeral Service, 2302 East Divide Ave., Bismarck.

Cheryl was born on August 28, 1953 to Harold and Ethel Anderson. She lived with her parents in Galesburg, Illinois until about 12 years of age. At that time, her parents moved to the San Francisco Bay Area near San Jose, California. She also lived for a time in Gilroy, California, Grants Pass, Oregon, Las Vegas, Nevada and Bismarck, North Dakota.

She completed her secondary education at Los Altos, California. After graduation she worked a number of clerical jobs but her favorite ones were for Hewlet Packard and the Lockheed Martin Company which built the Hubble Space Telescope. Her last job was working as a travel agent for military personnel at the Nellis Air Force Base, Las Vegas, Nevada.

She played a mean game of pool and as for professional sports, she enjoyed watching NASCAR races. Her favorite race car drivers  were Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson. She also followed the Oakland Raiders of the NFL and the Oakland Athletics MLB team. When living in California, she attended many live events.

She married Galen Geier on September 24, 1999, in Bismarck, North Dakota where they resided happily for the past 24 years. Cheryl was a kind and loving person and will be greatly missed. She had a beautiful soul which is now at peace in the presence of our Heavenly Father.

She is survived by her husband and two sons, Shawn and Kevin Latham. She was preceded in death by her parents and first husband, Larry Latham.
