Constance "Connie" Skarphol, 86, passed away on June 3, 2025.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, June 6, at Faith Lutheran Church, 1402 E Ave C, Bismarck. To view the service livestream, please visit the church's website https://www.faithbismarck.com/

Burial will be held at 1:00 PM at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.

Connie was born July 4, 1938 in Beulah, North Dakota to George and Mary (Kempf) Buchfink. She was raised and educated in Stanton, North Dakota where she graduated from high school.

On September 12, 1964, she married Stanley J. Skarphol in Stanton.

Connie was at one time employed by Missouri Valley Clinic (now Med Dakota.)

She was a stay-at-home mother of Susan and Timothy until they entered grade school. She then began employment with Bismarck Schools food service program. She was employed at Grimsrud Grade School for 30 years.

Connie was a charter member of the Bismarck Mandan Sweet Adeline Chapter. She was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church, and enjoyed music, reading and writing poetry.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan (Darrel) Barnes, Hugo, MN; son, Timothy Skarphol, stepgrandson, Brandon Barnes (Devin) and Kevin Barnes. Step granddaughters Charlotte and Konnyr Barnes grandchildren, Taylor and Jonah Posavad, Hugo, MN; Lindsay Skarphol, Shane (Bryanna) Skarphol Alexa Kellar, Dickinson; great-grandchildren, Kaiden Green, Salem Skarphol and Beau Skarphol. She had many great friends at the Burleigh County Senior Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley; parents, brother, Rodney Buchfink; and sister, Joyce Enyart.
