Cynthia K. Bosworth, 73, Bismarck, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2026. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, May 23 at Eastgate Funeral Service, 3117 E Century Ave, Bismarck. Family will greet guests one hour prior.

Cindy was born on November 13, 1952 at St. Alexius Hospital to the late Ted and Mary Jahner, one of twelve children. She graduated from Bismarck High School in May 1970 and immediately began employment at North Dakota Job Service where she was employed for 42 years, retiring in February 2012. She also helped at R & J Sav-Way in her spare time.

Cindy married Roman Bosworth on May 15, 1971. Together, they had one child, Shantel Rae. Cindy enjoyed bird watching, planting flowers, caring for many plots at St. Mary’s Cemetery, and researching family ancestry. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family, watching Monk, and going to Starbucks for her daily mocha.

She is survived by her daughter, Shantel (Dave) Wurtz; significant other, Jerry Marquart; grandchildren, Daytona and Pacen; brother, Dennis (Penny) Jahner; and sisters, Diane Fischer and Cathy (Bob) Martin. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ted Jahner; and sisters, Gloria Kaiser, Shirley Bachmeier, Rosemary Wetch, Janice Klein, Elaine Kelly, Cherie Rudnick, and Faye Tschosik; along with sisters- and brothers-in-law.

In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a memorial donation to Heaven’s Helpers Soup Café, Stepping Stone Ministries Medical Respite, or Furry Friends Rockin’ Rescue.
