Burial will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Bismarck.
She was born on March 26, 1955, in Dickinson to Paul and Esther Schafer.
Cindy married the love of her life, Lester Wimer, in Glen Ullin. Together they built a life filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable memories. She was the proud and devoted mother of four children, and to them, she was truly the best mom anyone could ask for. Even more than being a mother, Cindy adored being a grandma. She was blessed with five beautiful grandchildren. As she will love to continue watching over her family from heaven, she was also excited to be a grandma to her granddaughter Jennings in heaven.
Cindy lived life to the fullest. She was outgoing, active, and passionate, known for her energy and love of fun. She played pickleball several times a week with close friends, enjoyed boating on warm days, and never passed up a strong drink, live music, or a good slot machine. She brought joy and laughter wherever she went, and her stubborn, spirited nature made her a fighter until the very end.
Most of all, Cindy loved being with her family. Her greatest happiness came from time spent with those she loved, whether in big celebrations or quiet everyday moments. She brought fun into everything she did and left lasting impressions on everyone lucky enough to know her.
Cindy made one special request for her celebration of life—please do not wear black. Instead, wear your favorite color in her honor, and remember her with smiles, stories, and laughter.
She is survived by her husband, Lester Wimer; her children, Dustin (Mandi) Wimer, Travis Wimer, Macall (Mitch) Jeppesen, and Dylan Wimer; and her beloved grandchildren, Kinley, Bentley, Burley, and Wylder.
Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Esther Schafer; her brother, Paul Schafer Jr.; and her granddaughter, Jennings Jeppesen.
Cindy’s vibrant spirit, fierce love, and joyful presence will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
