Danny B Muhlbradt

Danny Muhlbradt passed away on March 17, 2024 at Banner Boswell Rehabilitation Center in Sun City, AZ, at the age of 84, with his wife Mary holding his hand. Prior to his passing, Danny looked forward to and cherished the last trip his son, Bruce and grandson, Logan made to see him in AZ. 

A memorial service will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, ND. 

Danny was born April 5, 1939 to Herman and Doris Muhlbradt. He was one of four boys and was raised in Raub, ND. He attended country school and graduated from Parshall High School in 1957.

After graduation he managed a service station in Raub for two years. He owned and operated Raub Bar for three years before becoming a plumber/pipefitter. Danny worked at the Minot Air Force base on missiles.

He married Mary Olmsteadt on April 6, 1963, together they owned and operated a bar in Roseglen, ND. In 1970, they moved to rural Minot and purchased a Hardware Hank Store in Minot and another one later on in North Minot. They added a pet store to the hardware store and opened a 2nd pet store in Dakota Square Mall.

After retirement Danny and Mary enjoyed traveling, golf, tennis, and hunting. They always enjoyed their winters in sunny Arizona. They moved to Bismarck in 2014 for the summers and continued their winters in AZ.

Danny will be deeply missed by his wife, Mary; son, Bruce; grandson, Logan; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Linda and Kenny Ruud, Joann and Francis Brunsell, Jean and Paul Hendrickson, along with several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Herman, David, and Richard.
