Delilah “Dusty” Wald, 73, passed away on September 21, 2026.

A memorial service will be at 1:00PM, Monday, September 28, 2026, at Eastgate Funeral Service, 3117 E Century Ave, Bismarck. 

Burial will be 3:00PM at the ND Veterans Cemetery, Mandan. 

Delilah Rhoda Mueller was born June 22, 1953, in Bismarck, she was the daughter of Reinhold Mueller and Emma (Krein) Mueller. She attended Dawson and Napoleon schools.

She married Patrick Wald on May 13, 2000, at Napoleon. They made their home in Bismarck. She loved all animals, especially her dogs. She loved listening to country music. She was employed as a custodian at various businesses.

She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Patrick; two sisters, Violet (Marvin) Bodvig and Sharee Schimetz; sisters-in-law, Cheryl Mueller, Bertha (Lee) Blaschke, Dorothy (Jeff) Lauinger, Virginia (Joe) Zubrod and Claire Wald; brothers-in-law, Tony (Patty) Wald, Clinton (Ann) Wald, and Peter Wald; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Clayton Mueller and Albert Mueller; her stepparents, Melvin R. Johnson and Tabea Mueller; and her in-laws, Steve Schimetz, Joe and Pauline Wald, Dennis Wald, Michael Wald, Monsignor Jeffery Wald, and Barbara Ann Wald.
