Delores May Robinson, 84, of Lakota ND passed away peacefully on October 6, at the Lakota Good Samaritan Society.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15, at 10:30 AM at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Tappen, ND. Visitation will be held one hour prior
Burial will follow at the Fisher Cemetery, north of Tappen.
Delores was born on July 7, 1941, the third child of August J. Stroh and Olga (Silzlie) Stroh. She grew up on the north edge of Tappen, moving to the farm just north of Tappen after the interstate was built. She graduated from Tappen High School in 1959. She worked at the Tappen Grocery store and began waitressing at the I-94 Café in Tappen where she met her future husband, Harold Robinson. They married on March 10, 1962. They lived and farmed north of Tappen where they raised their two children, LeRoy and Brenda. Delores worked as a waitress at the assistant cook at Tappen School.
Delores enjoyed sewing her own clothes, crochet, baking, gardening, canning, growing flowers, and mowing hay.
Delores became a resident of the Good Samaritan Society of Lakota in July of 2014.
Delores is survived by her daughter Brenda (John) Steffan of Michigan, ND; her grandchildren Nathan Steffan of Michigan, ND Phillip (Lily) Steffan of Warren, MN, Roman, Jack, Laura, and Levi Steffan all of Michigan, ND; her brother Dennis (Fran) Stroh of Mandan, ND; many cousins; nieces; and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, August J. and Olga Stroh; son LeRoy; her sister and brother-in-law, Viona and Clifford Morlock; and brother, Leo Stroh.
