Duane Werner

Duane L. Werner, 78, Bismarck, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2021 at the Miller Pointe Nursing Home, Mandan. 

Duane was born on January 8, 1943 in Steele, the son of William and Eda Werner.  Duane attended school in Steele and later married Diane J. Coffin on August 17, 1972.  He was employed by Northern Improvement for many years. 

Duane enjoyed living life to the fullest and loved to be with friends and family.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing with friends.  He loved the company of his dogs. 

Duane was preceded in death by his wife; parents; brother, Darold Werner; and sisters, Betty Dillon and Marylee Werner.  

Duane is deeply missed by his sons, Steve (Heidi) Pflipsen, Prior Lake, Minn., and Rocky (Beth) Adams, Fort Collins, Colo.; grandsons, Hunter (Molly) and Zachary Pflipsen; granddaughter, Trinity Adams; nephews and nieces, Michael Werner, Shari Majeske, Mark Werner, Pamela Berger, Ronda Blazer and Cheryl Dillon; and sister-in-law, Darlene Skare.

A private family graveside service will be held Saturday, August 7, at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck.
