Eleanor Margaret Stuverude Sathre, 92, Bismarck, died November 4, 2017, at Sanford Health, Bismarck. Services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, November 8, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 3rd St & Ave A, Bismarck, with Rev. Paul Schick and Rev. David Maxfield officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Tuesday, November 7, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Eleanor Margaret Stuverude Sathre was born September 10, 1925, in Spring Grove, MN, to Herman and Emma Stuverude and grew up in Rochester, MN. She graduated from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis where she met her husband, Lawrence E. Sathre. They were married on October 22, 1949. She worked as an engineer at NW Bell Telephone in Minneapolis, MN, then quit to raise her family. In 2014 she moved to Bismarck to be closer to her children. She enjoyed traveling, reading, attending Lutheran college choir concerts, and participating in her church. Eleanor is survived by her children, Steven Sathre, Bismarck, and Margaret Sathre Maxfield (David), Williston; her granddaughters, Rachel and Linnea Maxfield; and four nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence E. Sathre; her parents, Herman and Emma Stuverude; and her brother, Howard Stuverude.
