Elias John Vetter, 42, of Burlington, North Dakota, died unexpectedly on July 17, 2019.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2019, at 11:00 A.M., Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck, North Dakota.

Elias was born on June 24, 1977, in Minot, North Dakota. Growing up, Elias shared his time with his mother in North Dakota and his father in Alabama. Elias was employed at Trilogy, LLC, Minot, and worked in the oil fields. He loved his work.

Elias is survived by his four children, Amber, Johnathan, Makayla and Ethan, Eclectic, Alabama; his mother and step-father, Paulette Thurn and Michael Hoffman, Bismarck; his grandmothers, Berniece Thurn and Magdalene Vetter, Bismarck; his step-mother, Christine Vetter, Millbrook, Alabama; his half-sisters, Kathryn (Matt) Cuthbertson, Prattville, Alabama, Suzanne (Scott) Jackson, Eclectic, Alabama, Valerie (Chance) Bowden, Pensacola, Florida, Leah Vetter, Prattville, Alabama; his half-brother, Jacob (Meghan) Vetter, Ft. Belvoir AFB, Virginia; his step-brother, John (Nicole) Hoffman, Bismarck; his step-sisters, Jessica (Chad) Hager, Faribault, Minnesota, and Melissa (Garett) McCabe, Bismarck; and many other relatives and friends.

Elias was preceded in death by his father, Stanley G. Vetter; his grandfathers, Elmer Thurn and John Vetter; and his Aunt Patty Nation, Encampment, Wyoming.
