Obituary

Eliza Ruby Anderson, 38, of Bismarck, passed away July 20, 2026.

Eliza was born November 12, 1987, in Grand Forks, Grand Forks County, North Dakota, the fifth of seven children in the family of Daniel and Denise Anderson. She passed away peacefully at her home in Bismarck, North Dakota, July 20, 2026.

Eliza had a joyful spirit and a contagious smile. She loved to sing, play the flute, dance, and spend time with her family. There was nothing quite like the way she lit up when she saw someone she loved—she made every reunion feel like a celebration. Her warm hugs and radiant smile brought comfort and happiness to all who knew her.

She had a deep love for Disney princesses and delighted in the magic and wonder they represented. She was also a legendary Yahtzee champion, always ready for a game and quick to celebrate both fun and togetherness.

Above all, Eliza loved her Savior, Jesus Christ. She found joy in bearing her testimony and sharing her faith with others. Her unwavering faith was the foundation of her life and a blessing to everyone around her.

Eliza is survived by her grandmother, Ruby Haymore Ward; her parents, Daniel and Denise Anderson; her siblings: Grace (Israel) Sandoval, Dorothy (Ryan) Morrill, Camille (Trent) Bowen, Teresa (Roger) Comer, Rachel Anderson, Daniel (Lyndsie) Anderson; and eighteen nieces and nephews, each of whom she treasured dearly.

Eliza’s life was a beautiful reminder that joy can be found in simple moments—with family, in music, in laughter around the table, and in faith. Though her passing leaves an immeasurable void, her love, kindness, and testimony of Jesus Christ will continue to bless all who knew her. She will be deeply missed, forever cherished, and lovingly remembered.

Funeral services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1500 Country West Road, Bismarck, North Dakota, Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. with visitation at 9:00 a.m. A luncheon will be provided after the service and internment will be at Kristiansand Cemetery, White Earth, North Dakota at 3:30 p.m. Following the interment family and friends will gather at 5:30 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 326 Prairie Drive, Stanley, North Dakota for food and fellowship.
