Erin
Martin
Dec 30, 1994 — Oct 11, 2026
Erin Kate Martin, born December 30, 1994, passed away on October 11, 2026, at the age of 31.
A celebration of Erin’s life will be held at Eastgate Funeral Service, 3117 East Century Avenue, on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. The family will greet visitors one hour preceding the service.
Erin was full of life, quick with a joke, and generous with her love. Her lively spirit and witty sense of humor brought joy to everyone who knew her and will be a lasting memory for many.
Erin lived with a disability and was lovingly cared for by her father, Doug, and guardians Lisa and Paul Bengston. She shared a close bond with her two sisters, Heather and Shannon. Her family treasures the years they shared, along with the laughter, love, and memories Erin leaves behind.
Erin's passing came suddenly, leaving her family shocked and heartbroken. Her family finds comfort in their faith, trusting that Erin is now held in God’s love and peace. She will be deeply missed and always remembered.
Erin is survived by her father, Doug Martin; mother, Stacey Martin; her sisters, Heather (Andrew) Thomas and Shannon (fiancé Brandon) Martin; her nieces and nephews, Brenna and Canon Thomas and Hunter and Desirae Eisenbeis; aunts and uncles, Debbie (Steve) Hinrichs, Coleen (Tim) Wegner, Pam Stading, Bonnie (Scott) Harris, Craig (Deb) Tokach, Lynette Tokach; many cousins, and special furry companion, Bentley, who was always by her side. Erin was preceded in death by her grandparents, Marvin and Arlyss Tokach and Norman and Winifred Martin; uncle and godfather, Glenn Stading; great aunt, Eileen Martin; and Baylee, her first canine companion.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Jeff Smith and his staff for the kindness, care, and compassion they showed Erin throughout the final years of her life. We are equally grateful to the wonderful staff at Community Options, where Erin found friendship, joy, and many opportunities to do the things she loved, especially participating in cooking activities. A very special thank-you goes to Kathy Morrison, whose Friday afternoons spent with Erin brought companionship, happiness, and treasured moments. The family will always be grateful to those who made Erin feel cared for, valued, and loved.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Central Dakota Humane Society.
