Ethel M. Fears, 81, Bismarck, ND, formerly of Pierre, SD, passed away on July 30, 2024 in Bismarck surrounded by family. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, at Eastgate Funeral Service, 2302 E Divide Ave, Bismarck.

Ethel spent her life as a devoted mother and grandmother. She cherished her time volunteering in her community and was a dedicated postal worker for many years. She shared her love of sports with her family, always making time to attend sporting events and showing her support. Ethel cherished her many memories of her time spent with family and friends at the lake. 

She is survived by her children Kerry (Terri), Troy, and Marshall (Kelsey) Fears; her grandchildren, Ryan, Raina (Jerod), Hunter (Miranda), Tucker, Thomas, Nicholas; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Stella Markley; son, Sammy Fears; and a number of aunts and uncles.
