Floyd Butsch, 76, of Bismarck, ND, passed away on June 24, 2025.
Floyd was born on September 20, 1948, in Dickinson, ND. After serving in the military and completing college, he made Bismarck his home, where he built a life rooted in family, hard work, and a deep love for everything North Dakota had to offer.
Floyd was an entrepreneur and a self-taught investor who approached life with curiosity, determination, and an adventurous spirit. He loved to travel, enjoyed boating, and never passed up the chance for a long road trip—especially when it meant discovering something new or spending time with those he loved.
Floyd had an extraordinary ability to see solutions clearly and guided others toward the simplest and most effective path forward. His gift for troubleshooting and fixing things was unmatched, and he was the one everyone turned to when something needed to be made right. He also brought that same care and creativity into the family kitchen, where his cooking and baking were legendary. Floyd cooked with heart and soul—something that was evident in everything he prepared.
He is survived by his loving wife, his two children and their spouses; all of whom will forever cherish his wisdom, warmth, and the countless memories they shared.
Floyd was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
