Fred Morley High, 52, of Bismarck, passed away on October 4, 2026.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 10, at Eastgate Funeral Service, 3117 E Century Ave, Bismarck.
He was born on May 17, 1974, to Fred High and Norma (Johnston) High Dooley. Fred graduated from Columbia Central High School in Columbia, Tennessee, in 1992.
He loved his home state of Tennessee but moved to Fargo, North Dakota. He met his wife, Stacy (Seeberg), in Fargo, and they married on September 8, 2000 in Bismarck. After a move back to Tennessee, they returned to North Dakota and settled in Bismarck. Together, they had three children, Fred, Torii, and Cordelia, of whom he was very proud.
Fred enjoyed watching his children participate in their many activities and especially treasured the family’s two trips to Disney.
An avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting and fishing. He enjoyed being near the Missouri River and fished as often as he could. In the fall, he looked forward to hunting deer and pheasants.
Fred was a football fan, with the Florida Gators and Tennessee Titans being his favorite teams. While living in Fargo, he played on a co-ed softball team and participated in a pool league. Fred also managed his son’s baseball team and enjoyed umpiring youth baseball in his spare time. More recently, he joined a darts league and enjoyed playing in tournaments.
He worked in retail, most recently as a manager at Simonson’s. He took great pride in his work and enjoyed sharing his accomplishments at the store.
Fred loved his cats, Killer, Minnie, and Otis, and often wished the family had gotten cats sooner. He even had a hand in naming Killer. The family placed potential names in a hat, and the name drawn was “Killer,” which Fred had written down and added himself.
Fred is survived by his wife of 26 years, Stacy; children, Fred, Torii, and Cordelia; mother, Norma Dooley; parents in-law, Ed and Mary Seeberg; sisters in-law, Kelly (Brian) Gross, and Laurie (Eric) Fey; nieces and nephews, Heidi Gross, Henry Gross, Ava Gross, Adam Fey, and Brendan Fey.
He was preceded in death by his father, Fred High; and step-father, Hank Dooley.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made out to a charity of your choice.
