Gail Delorme, 67, Bismarck, passed away on September 7, 2022.
Gail Ann (Malo) Delorme was born on December 6, 1954, in Rolla, ND, to Wilfred and Louise (Kuster) Malo. Gail had five siblings, three brothers and two sisters. She was raised in Rolla and completed her secondary education there as well. Gail worked various jobs over many years, as a bookkeeper, media technician, and a manager of her local Dairy Queen for many years. She was a dedicated, dependable, and jovial employee and colleague.
Gail married Patrick Delorme in August 1976 and they had 5 children together; they later separated. Her children and grandchildren were everything to her, she loved nothing more than being with them. Gail would speak of them often, smiling with pride and love. Gail loved to bake with her grandchildren and watch true crime while snacking on sweets, she had a sweet tooth. She was a birdwatcher, beautiful singer, best story teller, old movie lover, drink a whole pot of coffee kind of lady. She loved to call her family, her siblings, children, and nieces, sharing stories old and new. Her favorite thing to do was just hang out with her family, watching movies, visiting, and laughing.
Gail was a kind and generous woman, who had an innate way of making you feel like you were the most important person in the world when she talked to you. She had the best sense of humor, always cracking jokes and goofing around. Her smile was infectious, welcoming you in. Gail had many friends, as she was fun-loving and accepting of all. She would love you just as you were – one of her many adoring qualities. Her time in this world was not long enough but she gave what she could while she was with us. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were lucky enough to know her.
Gail is survived by her children, Becky Larsen of Rochester, MN, Katrina Delorme (Mark Desjarlais) and Joshua Delorme, both of Belcourt, ND, Brandie Delorme-Lindsay (Solomon Lindsay) and Jenna Delorme, both of Bismarck, ND; 14 grandchildren, Tiera, Kyller, Nevayah, Tamia (Cece), Aliyas, Aiven, Athaniel, Trevin, Daxton, Ehvy, Alex, Tate, Gage, and Rhet; 2 great-grandchildren, Callie and Rhen; her siblings, Greg (Cindy) Malo of Tacoma, WA, Laurel Malo of Jamestown, ND, and Gary (Bonnie) Malo of Bismarck, ND; along with many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Gail was preceded in death by her father and mother, Wilfred and Louise Malo; her sister, Collette Malo; and her brother, Doug Malo.
