Geraldine “Gerry” A. Dutton, 90, passed away on June 25, 2023.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, June 30, at St. Hildegard Catholic Church, 17200 Hwy 10, Menoken.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, Wednesday, June 28, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck.

Burial will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery, Bismarck.

Geraldine was born on July 26, 1932 to Stanley and Angela (Damberger) Cervinski in Bismarck, ND.  She was a born teacher. She taught in one-room school houses and was a favorite catachism teacher in church. She also worked as the Clerk of Menoken School.

She met her match in Everett “Sonny” Thomas Dutton Jr. whilst teaching at Boyd School when he came to repair the furnace. They courted for two years and married on June 3, 1953. They enjoyed the farm life together. Gerry took tremendous pride in her family and watching her grandchildren grow and play.

Gerry loved to play bingo and socialize with those around her. We don’t believe she ever met a stranger, or left anyone without a smile and a kind word. We were all blessed beyond measure to have known this extraordinary lady.

She will be missed tremendously by her son, Tom (Kathy); brother, Father Paul Cervinski; sister, Liz Andrews; sister-in-law, Joyce Cervinski; son-in-law Dave Fisk; grandchildren, Chris (Lindsey) Dutton, Tyler Stoltz, Steven (Alison) Blank, Brittany (Lalo) Dobbins, Shawn Stoltz, Derek Dutton, David Dutton, and Emily (Dillon) Seidler; and her 15 great-grandchildren.

Gerry was preceded in death by her parents, Stan and Angela Cervinski; husband, Everett Dutton; daughter, Barbara Fisk; her brother, Stan Cervinski; and granddaughter, Amber Bragg.
