Ginger was born on July 6th, 1954, to Joseph and Fern Uhler in Hettinger North Dakota. Since the day she was born she brought love, laughter, joy, and compassion to all of those around her. She never had a friend that wasn’t a lifelong friend, from her classmates to her former clients.
Ginger grew up on her family farm with her seven other siblings. Growing up she always had a very active imagination and enjoyed being outdoors playing or riding horses. Their house was always filled with family and friends from around the area. She often talked about how her family always hosted people even if they did not know they were going to show up. She carried this love and compassion for others throughout her life.
As an adult she attended college and received a bachelor’s degree in business along with becoming a registered barber. With these two skills she opened her own barber shop where she loved socializing with clients and where she would listen to and share stories with them. Throughout her adventures she often enjoyed dancing and going out with friends and was always just a phone call away.
Beyond her professional life, she was a wonderful mother who cared deeply for her sons. Even through the various medical challenges she always took great pride in raising her two boys. She always encouraged her sons to try new things and supported them in their endeavors. She created a loving and compassionate home like the one she grew up in. It never mattered if her sons brought over one friend or ten. She always made sure everyone was taken care of. She will truly be remembered for her generosity and compassion for all.
One of the most important aspects of her life was her relationship with Christ. She was a devout Christian, spending a lot of time learning, worshipping, and sharing her love for God. She often watched sermons on YouTube, reading devotionals, and loved being involved in church activities. Even when she was struggling with health or day-to-day challenges, she never lost faith and would still spread the love of the Lord.
Ginger may no longer be with us in this physical world, but her spirit will continue to be with all of us. As we mourn this tragic loss, let us not forget the wonderful life that Ginger led. The joy and laughter that she brought us, whether that was through dancing, playing cards, joking or just casual conversations. Her love and compassion will always be with us.
Ginger is survived by her sons, Eric and Seth Keller, her siblings, Barb Wood, Tim Uhler, Steve Uhler, Terry Uhler, Susan Whittington, Kimberly Tim. She will be joining her parents Joseph and Fern Uhler and her beloved sister Stephanie Hack. She will be dearly missed but beyond a shadow of a doubt she is home with God, along with many other friends and family throughout her life. Ginger will be there with a cheerful voice and a smile on her face to welcome us all home again someday.
