Grace Irene Kuntz, 73, passed away December 27, 2023 at her home in Mandan, ND, with her family by her side.
A private family service will be held and a private burial will be held in the spring of 2024 at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.
Grace, daughter of Melvin and Mary Helen (Ehrnst) was born March 13, 1950 in Bismarck ND. She grew up in Richardton, ND graduating from St. Mary’s High School in 1968.
Grace married Ben Kuntz on February 20, 1971. They resided in Dickinson for a few years and then moved to Richardton where they raised their family. In 2004 Ben and Grace moved to Eau Claire WI. In April of 2018 they retired and moved back to Mandan to be closer to family.
Grace is survived by her husband, Ben; sons, BJ (Rhonda) Kuntz, Richardton, ND; Jay Kuntz, Beulah, ND; Eric (Sarah) Kuntz, Richardton, ND; and multiple grandchildren, Jacob (Sydney) Kuntz, Rose Kuntz, Logan Kuntz, Evelyn Kuntz, Nolan Kuntz, Lindsey (Cory) Aaron, Hunter Kuntz, Kyle (Bailey) Kuntz, Ellie Kuntz, Ethan Kuntz, Collin (Kylee) Kuntz, Conner Kuntz, and Gracee Kuntz, all of ND. She is also survived by her sister, Kay Shackelford; brother, John (Cheryl) Ludwig; sister, Doris (Bill) Hoff; and many special nieces and nephews.
Grace was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary Jane Schoenborn; and brothers-in-law, Jerry Shackelford and Al Schoenborn.
