Obituary

Isaak Matthew Hamilton (Hubáhu Owáhjkne, “Lightning Wings”), age 25, left his time on earth on May 16, 2026.

Born to Jessica and Jason Hamilton Sr. on Feb. 28, 2001, he definitely had an impact from the start as he was a surprise. Isaak was the 3rd born of three children, and he and his sister Kyanna and brother Jason Jr. would form a bond that no matter what would never break.

Isaak spent most of his school years in Mandan, ND except for a brief time where he attended school in Wolf Point, MT where he would play basketball, but he was quickly drawn back to Mandan where he would graduate in the year 2019.

Isaak had a deep love for music and would even after high school tell you his favorite class was choir. He loved making music and videos with his family and in the last year would spend some of his nights doing karaoke.

Isaak loved playing softball and was proud to be a member of the OG Vets team. He also enjoyed being on a basketball league, tried his hand a time or two at golfing, but his real passion was fishing. If he could be at the water he would be and even penned himself the “Shoreline Assassin” as he reeled in some big one’s right from shore.

If he wasn’t fishing you could find him gaming online with his brother and other family members and he yelled at his brother more than once for not getting the person that downed him in the game.

At the age of 19, Isaak and two of his cousins, he would call them brothers, packed up in the wee hours of the morning and moved to Denver, CO. He loved being there and would tell you those were some of the happiest years of his life. He often talked about moving back.

Isaak loved fiercely and loved hard and had so many people that loved him the same way. He was his sister’s biggest supporter through her struggles, cared deeply for his brother, and loved his mom so profoundly. He gave the best hugs and never shied away from a kiss on the cheek from mom.

This loss cuts deep for all who knew him and loved him.

Isaak is survived by his mother, Jessica and stepfather, Chad Weldon; father, Jason and stepmother, Holly Hamilton; sister, Kyanna (Leighton Fox) Hamilton; brother, Jason Jr. (Dahlia) Hamilton; sister Tila (Robbie) Lezard White Hawk; stepsisters, Mekyna and Addyson Weldon; stepsister, McKenzie Jackson; stepbrothers, Da’Shaun and Emmitt Jackson; grandparents, Lonnie (Joe) Greybear; grandparents, Gary (LeAnn) Quinlen; grandmother, Jessica Mason; grandmother, Linda Weldon; uncles, Lawrence, Terrance (Theresa), and Dewayne (Dani) Hamilton, Justin (Angela) Quinlen, Wade Pittenger; aunt, DeeAnne Lavallie; close friend and brother Mason Lavallie; numerous cousins and nephews Waylon, Liam, and Ryker.

Preceded by grandmother, Barbara Hamilton; grandfather, Larry Hamilton; great-grandparents, Leonard and Dottie Bailey; great-grandparents, Jim and June Quinlen; Aunt, Darcie Madry and grandfather figure, Gene Hogue.
