Ivan H. Renner, 80, Bismarck, died August 8, 2019, surrounded by his family.

Services will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday, August 13, at Faith Lutheran Church, 1402 E. Avenue C., Bismarck, with Rev. Sylvia Bull officiating. Burial is at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck.

A prayer service will be held at 7:00 pm Monday, August 12, at Eastgate Funeral Service, 2302 E. Divide Ave., Bismarck.

Ivan was born June 11, 1939, in a sod house north of Beulah, ND, the son of Henry Jr. and Luisa (Schlender) Renner. He married Corinne Faut on April 19, 1963, at Faith Lutheran Church in Bismarck, ND. Ivan worked for Oster Construction where he operated heavy machinery. He later became a diesel mechanic for Ritter Construction. Most of his career was spent as a field mechanic for Butler Machinery until he retired.

Even though Ivan was always on the road for work, he always had time on the weekends for his family and would take his boys hunting and fishing. Most of all, Ivan loved his wife, children, and grandchildren. He had many friends and was one-of-a-kind, and quite the character who could tell a good story. He will be missed by many.

Ivan is survived by his wife, Corinne and his three children, Randy (Susan), Kathy, and Jason (Terri); and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Otto and Harold Renner.
