Izac Krous, 31 of Bismarck passed away June 29, 2026.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00AM, Friday, July 10, 2026 at St Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 318 2nd St SW, Steele.

Family will greet visitors from 5:00-7:00PM, Thursday, July 9 at St Francis de Sales Catholic Church. A vigil/rosary service will begin at 7:00PM.

Izac George Krous was born on February 10, 1995, in Bismarck, North Dakota, to Ron and Tammy Krous (Faith). He was raised in the Kidder County area, where he attended school and graduated from Kidder County High School in 2013. During his school years, he played football, but his true passions were always found outdoors. Izac loved skateboarding, longboarding, and spending as much time outside as possible. Whether he was on the water, in the woods, or simply enjoying nature, that was where he felt most at peace. As his family would often say, he loved the water more than a fish.

After graduation, Izac worked a variety of jobs before beginning his career at TSS, where he worked for 10 years. He was a dedicated and hardworking employee who took pride in everything he did.

Above all else, Izac's greatest love was his family. There was nothing he enjoyed more than spending time with the people he loved. He had a way of bringing laughter wherever he went with his goofy jokes, playful personality, and beautiful smile that could brighten any room. He had a heart full of kindness and compassion and was always thinking of others, even from a young age. One memory that will always be cherished is how he loved bringing flowers to his stepmother, Mona, simply to make her smile. Those small acts of kindness reflected the caring person he was.

Izac had a heart that belonged in the outdoors. Whether he was fishing from his canoe, hunting, sitting by the water, or simply enjoying nature, he felt most at home surrounded by God's creation. Some of the memories his family will treasure most are the late-night bonfires, his famous grilling sessions, and the laughter that always came with them. He would jokingly say, "If it's not high, it's not hot," referring to turning the grill up as high as it would go. After a long day, one of Izac's favorite things to do was simply sit outside and look up at the stars. Those quiet moments brought him peace and reflected his appreciation for life's simple blessings.

One of Izac's proudest accomplishments and greatest blessings was becoming the father of his daughter, Emily. She was the light of his life, and he treasured every moment they shared. He was a devoted father, a loving son, an incredible brother, and a loyal friend who would do anything for those he cared about. His strength, compassion, generosity, and unwavering love for his family will never be forgotten.

Izac is survived by his beloved daughter, Emily; his father, Ron (Mona); his brothers, Christopher (Melanie), Joseph, and John; his stepsiblings, Chris (Kim) and Sarah (Mike); his step-grandmother, Melody Tangwell; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who loved him deeply. He is also survived by several step-aunts, step-uncles, and stepcousins who will cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Tammy Faith; his grandparents, George and Philomena Krous, and Tony and Cora Faith; his uncles, Leon Krous and Lloyd Mardikian; his aunt, Michelle Krous (Allen); his step-grandfather, Ray Tangwell; and his stepsister, Alicia Morris.

While our hearts are shattered by the loss of Izac, we take comfort in knowing that Heaven has gained a beautiful guardian angel. Though he is no longer by our side, his love, laughter, and memories will remain with us forever. We will forever remember his contagious smile, the jokes that made us laugh until our sides hurt, his adventurous spirit, his love for nature, and the unconditional love he gave so freely.

Rest peacefully, Izac. Until we meet again, know that you will always be deeply loved, forever missed, and never forgotten. Thank you for the memories, the laughter, and the love you gave us. We love you so much, Izac.
