Jason was born in Bismarck on December 21, 1979 to Carlyle and Linda (Masseth) Will where he joined his brother Travis. His childhood memories include his cousins and friends that to this day are still a big part of his life. Jason’s kindness, compassion, and love touched every life he encountered. He had a heart that overflowed with love, always putting others before himself; offering comfort, laughter, and warmth wherever he went. He lived a life of purpose and generosity, whether that was through his gentle words, unwavering support, or simple acts of kindness. He made the world a better place for everyone lucky enough to know him.
Jason graduated from Bismarck High School where he was the life of the party. No story went untold without the name “Will” being included. After graduation, he attended Bismarck State College where he started his electrician journey, eventually starting his own business “All in Electric.” After years of being an electrician, he decided to follow his true dream and went farming with his dad.
In 2003, Jason married the love of his life, Stacey Thomas. Together they welcomed two beautiful daughters, Oakley and Avery. His daughters were his greatest pride, and he never missed an opportunity to tell the world how deeply he loved them. His kindness, generosity, and compassion will live on in them always. As he always said to them, “It is more fun to give than it is to receive.” He never missed a chance to teach them something new or to ask “Have I told you I love you lately?”
Jason loved his nieces and nephews like his own with a couple of them referring to him as “Uncle Meatball” for his fun and silliness. He always treasured his time with them whether it was hunting, fishing, butchering, golfing, making a 100 ft slipping slide, singing at the player piano, or tubing behind the 4-wheeler; they always knew he would bring the fun.
He was a true friend to so many. He had a way of making people feel seen and valued. Those friendships, some lifelong and others newly formed, were treasures he held dear. He will be greatly missed especially by Jason Fowler, his cousin Darren Job, his daily chat buddies Mike Bonnevier and Jason Bartsch, and countless others.
He is survived by his wife Stacey, daughters Oakley and Avery; parents Carlyle and Linda Will; brother Travis (Meghan) Will, their sons Braden, Tristan, and Holden; in-laws Karen and Adrian Jacobs; brother-in-law Daron (Andrea) Thomas, their children Kallie, Ethan, and Chaydin; sister-in law Angel (Randy) Pederson, their children Lynkin and Keetyn; two special people Anthony Cleary and Uriel Rivera; and his furry best friend Cooper (aka, dummy).
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Edwin and Irene Will; George and Mary Masseth; his godparents Marian Klein and Bernell Will; his cousins Mary and Jameson Masseth.
