Jean Nelson, 95, Napoleon, formerly of Steele, ND, died November 7, 2017, at the Napoleon Care Center. Services will be held December 1, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Bethany Lutheran Church 216 Charles St, Robinson, ND. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Robinson. There will be no visitation, as cremation has taken place. Jean was born August 7, 1922, in Pettibone, ND, the daughter of Edwin and Esther (Snell) Hillstrom.  She was raised and educated in Pettibone and graduated from Pettibone High School in 1940.  On December 21, 1940, she married Harry Q. Nelson in Pettibone, ND, and they enjoyed 67 years of marriage.  Her and Harry built a home near the family farm in 1941.  In 1980 they retired and moved to Steele, ND.  Jean has been a resident at Napoleon Care Center for the past five years.  She was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church, Robinson, and served on the WELCA.  Jean enjoyed quilting, sewing, and cooking.  Wherever Harry was, Jean was, they were always together. Jean is survived by her sister-in-law, Carol Hillstrom; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry; and her parents.
