Jeanne Richardson

Jeanne Marie Richardson, 75, of Bismarck, ND passed away on Monday, April 14th, 2025, at Sanford Bismarck Medical Center with her loving family at her side.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, June 13, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck. Interment will take place at West Prairie Cemetery, Griggs County, ND.

Jeanne was born on September 7th, 1949, in Cooperstown, ND to Nina (Johnson) and Roy Trostad. She was raised and educated in Cooperstown. She continued her education at Bismarck State College where she received an associate's degree in electronics.

Jeanne married Alan Richardson, and they had a son, Dwight Richardson. They made their home in Fargo where she worked as a phone operator for AT&T and most recently at Unisys. She and her son, Dwight, made their home in Bismarck.

She enjoyed reading a variety of books and spending time outdoors with friends and family. Also, working in the garden was a favorite pastime.

Jeanne’s loving family includes her husband, Alan; son, Dwight Richardson of Bismarck, ND; brothers, Steven Trostad, of Virginia, and Mark Trostad, of Minneapolis, MN; and son in-law, Dean Reiter of Burlington, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nina (Johnson) and Roy Trostad; daughter, Kristi Reiter; and brothers, David Trostad, and Russel Trostad.
